About IMG Travel Insurance
IMG Travel Insurance is customizable but can be pricey. When purchasing travel insurance, keep in mind that trips to domestic locations, shorter or less expensive vacations, and plans that provide less coverage will be more affordable. For instance, if you’re traveling within the United States for a few days and your trip costs are under $5,000, you’ll find much more reasonable rates than with a $20,000 international trip.
Unfortunately, seniors will also be charged higher rates based on their age. This is standard across many insurance policies that provide medical coverage. This is due in part to seniors being more likely to file a medical claim and Medicare’s policy that does not provide international coverage.
If you have private medical insurance, inquire about international coverage before your tip. If they will cover your needs, you can select a travel insurance plan with less medical coverage.
Plans and Coverages
IMG Travel Insurance offers the most options of any other travel insurance company we have reviewed. We’ll highlight the features of 3 options here.
