Indigo Mastercard reviews highlight an unsecured credit card that requires no security deposit. The card is designed for applicants with a low credit score or those rebuilding their credit profile. The Indigo card reports to all three major credit bureaus and features Mastercard® benefits, including fraud and ID theft protection.
However, Indigo Mastercard Reviews also reveal a credit card that’s short on benefits and big on fees, restrictions, and limitations. With an average star rating from consumers and experts hovering around 2.8 stars, the card leaves much to be desired despite its ability to help rebuild or establish credit.

Indigo Mastercard Reviews: Features and Benefits
The Indigo Mastercard doesn’t appear on many professional review pages. Offering no cash-back rewards or other real incentives means you won’t find it on any of the best credit cards for gas or groceries lists. Its lack of balance transfer ability also keeps it off the best balance transfer card lists.
What it does feature is a relatively modest interest rate for an unsecured card. While 24.90% for purchases and 29.90% for cash advances isn’t a low rate by any means, it’s not as high as some similar cards that can reach nearly 36% interest rates.

Indigo Mastercard Reviews: Editorial Rating
Trusted Company Reviews Rating Score for Indigo Mastercard®: 5.8
We have no reason to take points away from Indigo Mastercard reviews scores—Its operating company, Concora Credit, carries an A grade at the Better Business Bureau, and its issuing bank, Celtic Credit, has a B grade and a nearly 3-star rating with Trustpilot.
However, when we evaluated the card, there wasn’t much reason to increase its score past mediocre, either.—There just wasn’t much to work with in the way of reasons to get the card.
Indigo Mastercard’s low foreign transaction fees are one minor perk we noticed in our examination. At just 1%, it’s one of the lowest we’ve found among credit cards dedicated to consumers with less-than-average credit. Be sure to let the company know you’re leaving the country, however, as it’s a necessity in order to use the card outside the country.

About the Indigo Mastercard Credit Card
The Indigo Mastercard can help those with low credit scores or who need to rebuild their credit to increase the standing of their credit history. The company’s pre-qualification step allows consumers to check their likely approval odds without taking a hit on their credit report. Pre-approval draws only a soft inquiry on a credit report and won’t affect the score or appear on future inquiries.
The card features a low starting credit limit of $300. However, there are reports of some with slightly higher scores receiving a maximum credit limit of up to $2,000, dependent on creditworthiness and other factors. Most applicants start on the lower end, though.
After six months of on-time payments, your account may be considered for a limit increase. Although several Indigo Mastercard reviews dispute this claim.
An annual fee of $99 applies for most applicants, with a discounted amount of $75 for the first year. Note that the company charges the fee immediately after card acceptance, decreasing the initial amount you’ll have available on the card. Those with higher credit scores may receive terms that don’t include an annual fee.
Indigo Mastercard reviews speak of a no-frills, unsecured credit card, and they’re not off the mark. The card offers no mobile app and limits cash advances to $100. Mastercard supplies ID theft protection and fraud protection as the only perks.
Indigo Mastercard Cash Back Rewards
Celtic Bank, the issuer of the Indigo Mastercard, offers applicants numerous terms and conditions variables. The one customers receive in the pre-approval and final approval stages determines the card agreement term specifics. While the terms can vary by annual fee and starting credit limit, none provide a means of receiving cash-back rewards or other perks for using the product.
How to Use the Indigo Mastercard
Having no rewards system or mobile app means using the Indigo Mastercard is as straightforward as it can be. Use the card for purchases and cash advances, and use the company’s website to check your balance and make payments. You can also mail your monthly payment to the address listed on your statement.
The Indigo credit card is acceptable anywhere Mastercard® is accepted in the U.S. The card is also usable worldwide. However, telling the company you’re planning to use it internationally will avoid tripping the fraud protection feature, which will result in a declined transaction.
To avoid paying the relatively high interest rates associated with the card, paying your full balance on time each month is recommended.
Indigo Mastercard App
Concora Credit doesn’t offer an app for use with the Indigo Mastercard credit card. Make payments by mail or on the company’s website, where customers can also check their credit card balance.
How to Reach Indigo Mastercard Customer Service

About the Indigo Mastercard Pre-Approval
Indigo Mastercard allows consumers to check their approval odds for the card before formally applying for it. The pre-approval step involves inputting personal and financial information into the company’s website and waiting up to a few minutes to receive a response. Taking this step triggers a soft credit inquiry that doesn’t affect credit scores or appear on future inquiries.
The response will include basic approval odds and the card agreement terms the applicant will likely receive. Terms will consist of the expected annual fee and initial credit limit. The response is generally accurate, provided the input information is correct and up-to-date. However, the response doesn’t equal final approval, and the company may still deny the customer’s application.
If the applicant chooses to apply for the card formally, they can take that step after the pre-qualification step, depending on its results. Formally applying will incur a hard credit inquiry, which will have a slight negative and temporary credit-score effect.
Indigo Mastercard Reviews From Experts
For a credit card or financial product to rank highly with experts, the product must provide more than just the basics. Experts generally score the Indigo Mastercard slightly higher than its customers, at an average of around three stars or slightly more.
While the card doesn’t have any real negatives associated with it, it also doesn’t offer much in the way of benefits, even for a credit card designed for consumers with poor credit
Indigo Mastercard Reviews From Consumers
Indigo Mastercard reviews from cardholders are evenly split three ways. About ⅓ of customers award five stars, while another ⅓ rank it poorly at just one star. The other third split their votes evenly between two, three, and four out of five stars.
While those evaluation results may not tell much of a story for most credit cards, they sum up the Indigo Mastercard’s blandness quite well. Besides not being a secured card and being decent for helping with poor credit, the card provides few reasons to dislike it strongly; it also offers no reasons to love it completely.
Is the Indigo Mastercard worth it?
For consumers with bad credit or those who need to rebuild credit, the Indigo Mastercard is one of several unsecured cards that can provide results. These credit cards tend to report to all three major credit bureaus and generally carry modest to high APRs.
These types of credit cards can be worth their high fees and limited rewards as a temporary method of building credit enough to become approved for a card with more perks and lower fees.
While unsecured credit cards tend to provide few benefits, the Indigo Mastercard offers even fewer than most. The card may be an only option for some borrowers, and many consumers may not mind the lack of benefits. However, for those who can obtain approval for a different card, the Indigo card would likely be the least worth it of the two.
Indigo Mastercard® Vs. Mission Lane Visa®
Our top pick in our best credit cards with no security deposit review is the Mission Lane Visa. While the Indigo Mastercard and the Mission Lane card both lack major perks and benefits, our Mission Lane review reveals a few reasons to choose it over the other, if possible.
Mission Lane’s advantages over the Indigo card include a variable APR that can be as low as 19.99%, a lower maximum annual fee of $59, a mobile app with full-function capabilities, and educational material available on the app.
The downside is that some Mission Lane applicants will land on the other side of the card’s APR range and end up with an interest rate of up to 29.99%, slightly higher than Indigo’s cash advance APR.
